The 31-year-old actress will be seen doing underwater stunts with Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt in the film. They were sent to Ko Samui (Thailand) to become certified divers.
You would not believe but I was a hydrophobic earlier but after Blue I can proudly say that I am certified diver now which is a huge achievement for me,” Lara told PTI on the sidelines of MMTC Festival of gold 2009 in the national capital.
The actress, whose svelte figure in the film has become the talk of the town, had to go through a rigorous training to learn swimming and scuba diving for the film which is being touted as Bollywood’s first underwater movie.
Blue is a completely different film where I’ve had a few action scenes too, the actress says about her role in the movie.
Directed by Anthony D’Souza, the film boasts of a formidable cast that includes Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif and a song-appearance by Kylie Minogue.
Sanjay Dutt is a great actor and I liked working with him as well. We’ve shot the movie underwater, I think
the audience will like the film,” said Lara, who is paired opposite Dutt in the film.
