However, she refused, stating that she does not want the most special day of her life to become public and get unnecessarily hyped by the media. Like it worked! The marriage took place at Khandala, the farmhouse of Kiran Bawa, the business partner of the bride on Nov.22. Invitees included, besides the groom Raj Kundra and her own family, big shots from tinsel town, including old flame and co-star Akshay Kumar.

Touted to be one of the most extravagant weddings of recent times, even by Bollywood standards, the reported amount spent on the occasion was an estimated 5 crores. No doubt then that it was hounded by the paparazzi, who, despite the fact that they attend almost every big shot wedding, kept up an extra vigil for this.
