Kannada actress Malasri is making her comeback in Telugu after a hiatus of 10 years with a dubbed film titled ‘Andhra Kiran Bedi’. Malasri has acted in Telugu films like ‘Prema Khaidi’ and ‘Bava Bavamaridi’ and got glamour heroine image. She earned an action heroine image in Kannada.

The film ‘Andhra Kiran Bedi’ is a dubbed version of Kannada hit film ‘Kiran Bedi’ and it was directed by Om Prakash Rao. Malasri’s husband Ramu is dubbing the film into Telugu under Ramu Pictures banner. Hamsalekha scored the music for this flick.

The film was shot in Ramoji Film City and Ramanaidu Studios for about 25 days. Malasri is also planning to do a straight Telugu film if it gets good response. Other cast of the film include : Ashish Vidhyardhi, Jeevi, Mahesh, PD Raju, Telangana Sakuntala, Siva Parvathy, Parthasaradhi, Bullet Prakash and othersRavi Babu is known for his unique style of filmmaking has also registered a title 'Agent Gopi' in the film chamber

SB Balasubramanyam wins p Susheela Award | SPB to get the P Susheela award

Ace singer S P Balasubramaniam will be honoured with the P Susheela National Award at a grand function in Chennai on November 14, 2009. The award to be presented by Dr P Susheela Trust will carry a citation and Rs one lakh.

Announcing this to reporters, the melody queen said, “'SPB is a bundle of talent. I had the good fortune of singing several songs with him. He has rendered more than 40,000 songs in most Indian languages and the selection committee which includes singers Balasaraswathy, Jamuna Rani and actress Jamuna chose him unanimously.”

Susheela said a grand musical show has been arranged on November 14- the award night- at Wesley Grounds in Chennai. Legends in the world of music including MSV, Balamurali Krishna, Illayaraja, S Janaki, P B Srinivas, Vani Jayaram among others will participate and perform.
